MeLo-X & CocoandBreezy Pays My Class a Visit.

Coco, MeLo-X, & Breezy
I'm a part of a senior elective Magazine class in my High School where we learn what it takes to run and create a magazine. My teacher encouraged us to invite people we knew who were a part of the industry of music, fashion, makeup, etc. to come in and speak about what they do and the path that lead up to their profession. The people I invited to come in and speak previously was poet, Hip-Hop artist, and event planner RIPMC and photographer Dex R. Jones, who I recently had a Q&A with here.

I've been listening to emcee MeLo-X for over a year now and he was actually the first music post I featured here in the beginning of GoldenSense. For some time I was determined to get MeLo in class to speak and even though I didn't know him personally, it wouldn't hurt to ask and based on the title of this post and the pictures below I'm sure you figured it out. MeLo's visit was also a surprise to my bestfriend Ashley who I shared his music with a while ago and after that shes been incredibly inspired by him and has actually been pressuring me to get him into class, so this was a tough secret to hold in. I was hit with a surprise as well when I walked into class and saw designers Coco and Breezy. The twin sisters are designers that I've seen around and been familiar with their eye-wear collection since 2011. It made the visit even more greater because students in my magazine class are very much interested in the career of music and a lot of us are heading into the fashion field (we are a fashion high school) so to hear MeLo, Coco, and Breezy who are living their lives through Music and Fashion was a great inspiration and experience.

Coco and Breezy stressed that you're not to young to start now. They've experience kids as young as 15 years old approach them speaking about their business they've started at just 15 years old. Don't let your age, gender, or race hinder what you want to do because it's nothing but an excuse. And also, don't be afraid to be yourself. The spontaneous story Coco and Breezy shared with us about their journey from Minnesota working 3 jobs at 18 years, abruptly leaving their town at 19 years old to head to NYC to begin their business and just see what the Big Apple had in store for them was amazing in my eyes. Risky Decisions worked out in their favor.

MeLo- X shared that make sure you have a journey to share with others. Its your story that attracts and keeps people more connected to you and your craft that you share. I couldn't agree more.

This is my bestfriend Ashley who I surprised with getting  MeLo X to come visit. She's been asking me to do this for a while now and I kept lying saying it wasn't working.
Can You See how happy she was? :)
